AGILE Scholar 24′
Belize
Through a study abroad experience sponsored by Delta Air Lines in partnership with the AGILE Program, I traveled to Belize as part of a global learning initiative centered on cultural immersion, leadership, and personal development. The experience encouraged students to expand their perspectives through international engagement and meaningful cross-cultural connection.
As someone with both Ethiopian and Eritrean roots, the opportunity to experience a new cultural environment deepened my understanding of identity, community, and global interconnectedness. My time in Belize challenged me to step outside of familiar spaces, engage with diverse perspectives, and reflect on the value of cultural storytelling and shared human experiences.
This experience strengthened my adaptability, cultural awareness, and passion for global engagement while reinforcing my belief in the power of travel, dialogue, and education to create meaningful personal growth and connection

Journey to Costa Rica
My journey to Costa Rica was an experience that expanded my perspective on culture, connection, and personal growth. Immersing myself in a new environment allowed me to engage with different ways of life, build meaningful relationships, and develop a deeper appreciation for global community and cultural exchange.
Through this experience, I strengthened my adaptability, communication skills, and openness to unfamiliar spaces and perspectives. Traveling outside of my everyday environment encouraged me to reflect more intentionally on identity, storytelling, and the importance of learning through lived experiences.
This journey reinforced my passion for exploration, cultural understanding, and building connections that extend beyond borders.
